Charlotte Barker - BSc Hons Sports Therapy, MSc in Physiotherapy MCSP HCPC Reg AACP Perrin Practitioner


Charlotte started her career by completing a Sports Therapy degree at the University of Teesside in 2005 which is when she became keen to specialise in the musculoskeletal field of physiotherapy. During this course Charlotte completed a Sports Massage qualification. She then went on to complete an MSc in Physiotherapy at Manchester Metropolitan University. 

On completion of her masters she worked at the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University hospitals for 7 years where she gained experience in a variety of musculoskeletal, neurology and respiratory physiotherapy roles. Charlotte also gained experience working in various specialist areas such as orthopaedics, fracture clinics and rheumatology clinics. Since 2016 Charlotte has worked for Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh trust specialising in musculoskeletal outpatients. As part of her job role she teaches beginners pilates weekly. 

Charlotte has worked at The Bridgeman Physiotherapy Centre since 2014 where she has specialised in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and treating patients with chronic fatigue syndrome with The Perrin Technique along side Sue Capstick. During her time working as a physiotherapist Charlotte has completed courses such as Acupuncture and Level 1 APPI pilates which she utilises regularly within her current job roles.
